Play Day: Tractor Day > Hosted by Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club >How we appreciate tractors on the farm! Come let your kids get a little grease on them! Here’s what to expect: 1. Take a pony ride! We always have a couple of our favorite horses/ponies out to ride on! > 2. Pet the other farm animals: Babe and Ruth, Melody, Bandette, and some other furry and feathery friends! > 3. Enjoy the extra activity: playing on the tractors! > 4. Make a little take-home craft–for the creative ones out there! > 5. Play! Chickens, sandbox, dirt, wide open spaces–for just being a kid on the farm. > 6. Expect to get dirty, especially if it has rained recently! Also, dress for the weather. You might consider a change of clothes and a plastic bag–just in case! > 7. Bring a picnic lunch, if you’d like! Lay out a blanket and enjoy being outside. > 8. Hamilton County Tree Day > Hosted by Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga > The Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division, & The Hamilton County Master Gardeners, have partnered with Hamilton County Soil Conservation District to distribute free trees to the public. This special “Tree Day” event will be observed on Friday, March 10, 2017 inside Hamilton Place at the entrance near Massage Envy Spa (between Sears and Belk) & inside Northgate Mall near Auntie Anne’s. Tree seedlings will be available with varieties of Silky Dogwood, Flowering Dogwood, Redbud, and several other varieties. Wildflower seeds will also be given away at the event this year to encourage pollination and beautification. The trees and seeds will be distributed beginning at 4:00 p.m. Any adult, or child accompanied by an adult, may receive free tree seedlings as long as supplies last.
