The Edney > 1 Million Cups Chattanooga >1MC Chattanooga: Fantacular Designs and Evneturist> What’s a morning without fresh coffee + startup pitches? Fantacular Designs is a team of three, striving to help small businesses thrive by providing marketing services such as web design and social media management. While working to meet the needs of our clients, we have realized that marketing sales and events are a battle for both company and consumer! Therefore, we are creating a free marketing platform called Eventurist. Eventurist will bridge the gap between what consumers want to know and what businesses want consumers to know. Through profiles, businesses will be able to share important details about their company as well as post details about upcoming events and sales. Posted events will automatically be added to a community calendar, which will be viewable by month, day, and hour. Everyone will finally be able to find local events and sales – never missing out again! > This meetup is for anyone and everyone who is interested in learning about new startups and ideas. Whether you have an idea or want to hear what’s happening in our community, Wednesday mornings at 1 Million Cups are all about coffee and connecting. < 9:00 am

Straw Bale Gardening>Hosted by Ooltewah Farmers Market and Ooltewah Nursery & Landscape Co., Inc.> Straw Bale Gardening is rapidly becoming popular and you may have already heard of it. What is Straw Bale Gardening? It’s simply a different type of container gardening. The main difference is that the container is actually the straw bale itself, held together with two or three strings, the outside crust of the bale serves as the container. Once the straw inside the bale begins to decompose, the straw becomes “conditioned” and ready to plant, creating an extraordinarily productive, warm, moist and nutrient-rich rooting environment for your plants. This is an excellent way to grow if you have limited space, poor soil, or want to save your back from bending over so much. It’s also a Great money saver, too! At this event you will learn the techniques to growing in straw bales, and we will demonstrate how to do it. We will have on hand everything you need to grow a successful straw bale garden. There is no charge to attend. Your RSVP below is not required to attend, but it would help us to plan better for materials. Everyone who attends will receive a free full-color booklet and a coupon to help you get started. Bring a pen for notes and a friend.> 1:00 pm
