Outdoor Chattanooga > Mountain to Town Bike Adventure > Mountain to Town is a guided downhill mountain bike adventure that highlights the scenic trails atop Lookout Mountain and how they connect to the Tennessee Riverwalk all the way to downtown Chattanooga. Join Outdoor Chattanooga for this all-inclusive, beginner friendly adventure, which begins with a shuttle ride to the top of Lookout Mountain. Our experienced guide staff will provide ride support and instruction during the downhill ride. Use one of our new mountain bikes or use your own. Our mobile mountain bike fleet is provided by Ironman Foundation and Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city while cruising down the beginner-friendly Guild Trail, comprised of tightly packed gravel, until it connects with the paved trails of the Tennessee Riverwalk in St. Elmo. From there, the scenic and leisurely paced bike ride will continue along the shores of the Tennessee River back into downtown where we started the adventure at Outdoor Chattanooga in Coolidge Park. Participants will descend nearly 1,500 ft and only climb 340’ over the 13-mile ride. Ride time is approximately 2 hours. This family-friendly adventure is appropriate for ages 12 and up. Riders must be able to independently ride, shift, maneuver, and operate a bike with hand brakes, listen and follow instructions and be able to make decisions quickly while moving at higher speeds in order to participate in this adventure. *Reservations required in advance as space is limite. Outdoor Chattanooga > Pedal and Paddle Adventure> Experience two exciting outdoor activities in one afternoon. Outdoor Chattanooga leads a guided bike tour on the South Chick Creek Connector Greenway from TN River Park at Lost Mound Dr. to Sterchi Farms. Once the group arrives at Sterchi Farms, we’ll get geared up and hop into canoes for a beginner friendly paddle back to where we started. A two-sport evening because you are awesome. This event is appropriate for ages 6 and up when accompanied by an adult. Youth, ages 6-12 are recommended to ride with 2 adults in a canoe unless otherwise experienced maneuvering the canoe. Cost: $20 per person / $10 for children 12 and under. Price includes guides and all equipment including bikes, helmets + canoes, paddles and PFD’s. Gentle Yoga – Community Class > Hosted by The 4th Floor > Chattanooga yoga teacher, Jeri Harris, will be leading a Gentle Yoga class for adults every Tuesday morning on the 4th Floor of the downtown branch from 9:30am-10:30am. Gentle yoga offers restorative stretches and relaxation techniques. This is a nurturing, slower-paced class with a focus on basic yoga postures and connecting breath to movement. Props are available and encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably. Perfect for beginners, as well as more experienced students looking to slow down and fine tune their practice. This is a free community class and donations for the instructor are accepted, but not required. A limited number of yoga mats will be available on on a first-come, first-serve basis. Namaste!

Conservation Institute Tour > Hosted by Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute and Tennessee Aquarium > Curious about what the Aquarium’s team of researchers is working on in their new riverfront conservation science facility? Come take a tour, and see for yourself! We will visit the main learning, research, and conservation spaces in the new building, including the research labs and propagation room, and end in the beautiful landscape. Watercolor Painting Class: Dragonflies > Hunt & Burrow – Mercantile, Artisan Studio & Workshop > Artist Jackie Cory will discuss tools & supplies and will work with students to complete a “Vegetables” piece. Pancakes at Puckett’s Kickoff Celebration < On Tuesday, June 20th, we’re celebrating our new program called ‘Pancakes at Puckett’s’ that rewards kiddos for their academic achievement! If your child is an honor roll student (receiving A’s or B’s), all you have to do is bring his or her report card (or a picture of it) to Puckett’s for a FREE pancake breakfast. Students will enjoy our “Farmer’s Special,” which is 3 pancakes and a side meat, for all of their hard work and success. During this kickoff celebration ONLY, parents of children with qualified report cards will receive 1/2 off of their breakfasts as a special treat!
