Noontunes: Side Affect Hosted by River City at The Miller Plaza
Side Affect is an Indie Dream-Pop band from Chattanooga, TN formed by local Chris Johnson. Starting in 2015, Johnson recorded music in his bedroom and put out a single “Forever” and an EP “Headphones”. The rest of 2015 was spent playing shows in the Chattanooga area and laying down work on the next release of music, the “Loving You” album released in April 2016. Continuing to grow a fan base in town, Johnson worked on new music and created a record label HOT SOUND with the EP “Poetic Girls” as the first release on the label in November 2016. >> Noontunes is a weekly, mid-day music performance in Miller Plaza. Each performance will be open to the general public free of charge, live streamed by on CityStream Powered by EPB Fiber Optics and recorded and aired later on WUTC >> Noon – 1:00 pm

Neighborhoods Working to Prevent Domestic Violence > Hosted by Hamilton County Chattanooga Family Justice Center > The Family Justice Center has grant funding to train neighborhood leaders and residents on how to recognize and prevent domestic violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Through this training, neighborhood residents will become “peer advocates” with knowledge and skills to link people to the FJC for supportive services. We need your input at this event! Main St Farmers Market > Main St Farmers Market’s in the new location at the corner of Main St and Chestnut St. Come visit us in our brand new spot right across the street from T-Bones on the Southside. The Main St Farmers Market is a grower only, weekly outdoor farmers market that sets up year round, every Wednesday between 4-6 (between 4-5 in the winter when the days are short). All of our vendors grow what they sell and while they may not be certified organic they all use sustainable practices. You’ll find us at the corner of Main St and Chestnut St in the portion of the Finley Stadium parking lot that borders Main Street. Parking in the lot is plentiful and free for market customers during market hours. There is also metered street parking.: Every Wednesday from 4-6 pm! > 4:00 pm
Chattanooga Market at Erlanger East > The Chattanooga Market > New for 2017! The Chattanooga Market at Erlanger East will be a weekly market featuring a dozen local farms and food artisans. Conveniently located inside the new Erlanger East Hospital terrace, this mini-market will enjoy year-around access to seasonal foods and local products. Our only year-around market, we are open from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm every Wednesday. Admission is free and open to the public.
