Nutrition WorldNutrition World’s Farmers Market > We, as a family at Nutrition World, are beyond excited to bring what we confidently feel is the best of the best local food to Chattanooga. We have spent the last few months meticulously hand picking farmers whose growing methods & practices meet our quality standards. We wholeheartedly believe that the complete picture of health requires many different modalities and without any doubt one of the largest is a clean diet. Since we don’t have the sqaure footage or ability to bring this fresh food to you inside of our store, we have decided to have a market to bring it to you on a weekly basis, straight from the farmer! With the situation of our current food industry as a whole that values productivity and profits over quality and health, it seems turning back to the local family farmer who maintains quality as his top standard is the best health decision. We are proud to bring non-gmo free range eggs, grass fed their entire life beef, raw milk from A2 cows, organic vegetables and leafy superfood greens, kombucha, wild caught salmon, homemade real butter & local fruit pies & beautiful wildflowers. > 11:00 – 1:00 pm

Northside Farmers’ Market on Mississippi < The Northside Farmers’ Market on Mississippi is rising like a tiny lil baby Phoenix to bring some great, sustainably grown eats to the neighborhood and make local food as easy to get as a trip to the Kangaroo mart! As crops begin to come in we will have fruits and vegetables, and some additional folks to sell their produce. But right now, let’s enjoy eggs and beef that are available where your car is already parked! > 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Brainerd Farmers Market > The Brainerd Farmers Market is held from 11am until 12pm on Saturdays from April 25th  through December 19th, 2015. Local Farmers will present fresh naturally grown produce, farm fresh eggs, dairy and meat products. Bakers will present delicious artisan breads, sweets and pastries, and fine artists, musicians and craftsmen round out the festive market. The Brainerd Community Farmers Market accepts EBT/ SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Card purchases. In addition the market also accepts cash, credit and debit card purchases. The Market matches EBT/SNAP food purchases at the market every Saturday. Outreach for this program is made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga and the generosity of several private donors. SNAP recipients may bring their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to the farmers market and obtain tokens which may be used to purchase fresh, local produce, dairy products, meat products, honey, preserves, baked goods, plants used to produce food at home and much more. The mission of the Brainerd Farmers Market is to make local organic and sustainably grown produce available to the Chattanooga Brainerd community and to encourage healthy local food choices for Brainerd residents through educational and financial assistance projects for low-income market patrons. Grace Episcopal Church, a 501(c)3 non-profit, provides fiscal sponsorship and the physical location for the weekly farmers’ market. Grace Episcopal Church proudly supports local farmers.

Snakes of Tennessee >  Hosted by Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center > Join Naturalist Taylor to get acquainted with the native snakes who live at our facility. Learn why snakes are a vital part of any functioning ecosystem. They keep our vermin and insect populations in check, in turn lowering our risk of disease, house fires, and gardening frustrations. This program is free for members and included with admission for non-members ($7 – $10). We ask that you RSVP through Eventbrite so we know you’re coming. Once you arrive, you’ll check in as a member or pay admission for the day. For any questions, please call 423-821-1160 or email > 10:30 am
