The Showcase Expo will feature a variety of businesses that provide products and services to residential home builders. From landscaping, outdoor living, custom windows and exterior wall treatments to the newest appliances, home entertainment systems, cabinetry and much more, HBAGC’s Showcase Expo promises to “have it all!.” Cost to attend Expo and Kick-Off Luncheon is $20 per person for HBAGC members and $25 per per person for non-members. > 10:00 am
One Day One Goal! > Hosted by CISV Chattanooga at Highland Park Commons > Come celebrate Peace Day with CISV Chattanooga and Operation Get Active by supporting the 3rd annual One Day One Goal soccer tournament! One Day One Goal uses the power of soccer to bring people together in peace and to spread awareness of Peace Day on September 21st. Harnessing the incredible potential of “the beautiful game,” there have been thousands of One Day One Goal matches played in each of the 193 UN Member States since it started in 2008. CISV Chattanooga has been supporting Peace One Day and celebrating Peace Day for the past six years. Last year we have 97 kids from 12 different schools participate in One Day One Goal, and we hope this year is even bigger! > 4:30 pm
Paths to Peace: A Chattanooga Celebration of International Peace >Hosted by Center for Mindful Living > The Center for Mindful Living is organizing a local celebration of the United Nation’s International Day of Peace on September 21st at Coolidge Park from 3PM – 7PM. > Join us for a slew of fun activities designed to focus on the things that unite us – the love each of us has for our families, our community and our nation. Activities will include labyrinth walks, yoga, and art activities. Beginning at 5PM, enjoy music and dance, and an inspirational message from Bishop Adams, Pastor of Olivet Baptist Church. Concurrent with the event is a peace vigil that many local faith communities are taking part in!
